London Bridge Attack

After the recent events in London Bridge, the school's thoughts and prayers go out to those people who lost their lives, were injured or caught up in the events of Saturday evening. We also hold close in our minds the families of all those affected. We are also grateful to the swift response of the emergency services in preventing further tragedy. St Saviour's and St Olave's will be open as usual on Monday, 5th June.

Southwark Cathedral where the school hosts its annual Commemoration and Carol Services was sadly shut and their Pentecost services moved to St Mark's, Kennington. The Dean of Southwark Cathedral - Very Revd. Andrew Nunn - who is also a Governor of SSSO shared this prayer and these thoughts on his blog:

Loving God, when terror came to our doorstep
and stalked our streets
you were there with us
in the fear and agony.
Remain with us
and with all those caught up
in the horror of these events,
the injured and distressed
those who died
and all who seek your peace
which passes understanding.
Amen.
